Judge White was appointed to the bench in June 2020 by Governor Tony Evers. Prior to being appointed, he was a circuit court commissioner in Dane County where he heard family and small claims cases. Before becoming a court commissioner, Judge White was an assistant state public defender in Madison for nearly ten years. Judge White has been an adjunct faculty member of the UW Law School coaching mock trial students and teaching trial advocacy. Judge White graduated from UW Law School. Prior to law school, he taught high school math for three years in Dallas, Texas.
