The State Bar of Wisconsin offers programs and resources in collaboration with local, specialty, and affinity bars across the state. Our goal is to help members build strong, lasting relationships within rural communities and develop mutually beneficial partnerships with these bar associations.
Our current programs focus on expanding legal access and closing the justice gap in rural areas. We aim to support lawyers interested in transitioning to rural Wisconsin, as well as young lawyers looking to broaden their professional experience.
The Bar Relations Committee is involved in many of these initiatives by promoting rural outreach and supporting local, specialty, and affinity bars. Additionally, several leadership groups within the State Bar are working to address the challenges of rural practice and to find ways to improve opportunities in these communities.
