The American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Wisconsin Chapter was founded to bring together the Badger State's top attorneys in the fields of matrimonial law, including divorce, prenuptial agreements, legal separation, annulment, custody, property valuation, support and the rights of unmarried cohabitors, and to provide leadership that promotes the highest degree of professionalism and excellence in the practice of family law.
The general purposes of this Association shall be to foster improvement in the ethical and technical standards of practice in the field of advocacy to the end that individual litigants may receive more effective representation and the general public be benefited by more efficient administration of justice consistent with time-tested and traditional principles of litigation.
The purposes of the Association for Women Lawyers are: to promote the welfare, interests and professional development of lawyers who are women, to promote the legal interests of women generally, to maintain the honor and integrity of the legal profession, and to advance justice for all individuals.

EDWBA was formed in June 2002. As a result of the success of the Milwaukee Bar Association's Federal Bench Bar Committee, it was decided that an organization devoted solely to the federal court should be formed. The EDWBA was the result.

The Wisconsin State Attorneys Association (WSAA) is the collective bargaining agent for employees of the State of Wisconsin who are classified as Attorneys. These are the non-management lawyers who work primarily as either administrative law judges (ALJs), attorneys for departments, boards or commissions in the executive branch of government (agency or house counsel), or as Assistant Attorneys General (AAGs) at the Wisconsin Department of Justice.
