Feb. 4, 2015 – Now is the time to act if you are interested in joining the State Bar of Wisconsin’s health insurance. Individual health insurance open enrollment expires Feb. 15. Explore the different options quickly – but there is still time.
Health insurance has changed significantly under the Affordable Care Act. As a result, here are some changes that may impact you:
- Everyone is required to enroll in health insurance or pay a tax penalty.
- You may qualify for federal tax credits to make health insurance more affordable.
If you do not sign up within the open-enrollment period, you will only be able to pursue changes in your health insurance if a triggering event occurs. Dental Insurance Coverage Available for State Bar Members
State Bar of Wisconsin members and their families are invited to join the State Bar’s new group dental plan with Delta Dental of Wisconsin.
The State Bar’s dental plan offers coverage for services from the nation’s largest dentist network. When services are provided by an in-network dentist, the plan offers 100 percent coverage for routine diagnostic and preventive care, and discounts of 50 to 80 percent for major, emergency, and orthodontic services.
