April 1, 2020 – In the midst of shutdowns, court closings and delays, your clients may be bombarding you with questions concerning employment, business operations, unemployment insurance, and more. You likely have questions of your own.
Those questions may include ethical and logistical considerations in running your law practice in this “safer at home” environment.
The State Bar of Wisconsin has taken action to help members stay informed and up-to-date in a rapidly changing environment, through articles, a COVID-19 Response Page, coronavirus-related CLE, and other programming, including virtual town hall meetings.
The State Bar has been hosting a number of free virtual town hall meetings to let members in different practice areas connect and discuss common questions and issues, as well as work through practice management and technology issues.
These town hall forums are intended to help lawyers help each other, and their clients, with real-time information that can be shared with lawyers in various practice groups.
Members can attend, via audio stream, live town hall sessions as they are happening. The audio recorded sessions are also archived for members to access via OnDemand. Here’s the most up-to-date information about the virtual town hall forums.
