Bar recognizes lawyers at Volunteer Lawyers Recognition
Celebration
The State Bar's annual Volunteer Lawyers Recognition Celebration,
5:30 - 7:30 p.m., May 5, at the Annual Convention in Madison
acknowledges individuals who made outstanding pro bono, public service,
or law-related education contributions in 2003.
"I recently returned from the ABA convention where other bar
representatives reminded me once again of the high regard in which our
organization is held," says State Bar President George Burnett. "While
we are blessed with an excellent staff, the fact is we could not achieve
a fraction of what we accomplish without the efforts of those volunteer
members who give their time, wisdom, and talent to this organization. It
is important to recognize their contribution, but that recognition will
never be enough. They deserve the gratitude and applause of the entire
profession."
