Logging in to WisBar for the first time?
Content on the redesigned WisBar, set to launch
on April 5, (see article on page 1) is open for the most part, but
members must log in when registering for an event, ordering a product,
visiting My State Bar to edit or view their personal profiles, or
accessing limited restricted content areas. The site will prompt members
to log in, if they have not already done so, when performing these
tasks.
Members who have logged in since November 2003 can use their current
password. For members logging in for the first time, your user name is
your email address (example: jsmith@aol.com) or your State Bar
membership number. Your password is the first four letters of your last
name and your date of birth (smit07061955). After your initial log in,
we recommend that you change your password (by clicking on the "My
profile" link) to something that you can easily remember, and record it
for future reference.
If nonlawyer office staff are logging in for a member to order or
purchase a product, they should seek approval to log in using the
member's email address or membership number and password to ensure the
member receives appropriate discounts. Office staff may set up their own
registered user account by clicking on the "complete this form" link
from the log in screen. Member discounts will not apply for these
accounts. Office staff that have previously given the Bar their email
address to order products or register for events, should visit the FAQ
page for details on how to log in.
