Bar recognizes lawyers at Volunteer Lawyers Recognition
Celebration
The State Bar's annual Volunteer Lawyers
Recognition Celebration, from 6 to 8 p.m., May 4, at the Annual
Convention in Milwaukee, acknowledges individuals who made outstanding
pro bono, public service, or law-related education contributions in
2004.
"Day in and day out, I have had an opportunity to witness the
commitment that Wisconsin lawyers make to their communities and their
clients," says State Bar President Michelle Behnke. "The selfless
commitment to assist people in navigating the legal system or learning
more about the rights and obligations of the legal system is truly a
display of professionalism at its best. The recipients of these awards
are examples of what our profession stands for. These folks truly lead
by example and deserve the recognition of their peers and the public. I
want to personally thank each of them for their dedication and
commitment to service."
