Sept. 1, 2010 – The Wisconsin Department of Justice website now offers access to information about Wisconsin Public Records Law. All resource materials may be accessed, downloaded, and printed free of charge. The website includes:
Attorney General Van Hollen’s formal and informal opinions
Sample documents such as required prerelease notices and letters seeking clarification of public records requests
A video recording of the department’s 2009 public records seminar
Other resources including Van Hollen’s recent memo about the Schill decision.
All resource materials may be accessed, downloaded, and printed free of charge. More resource materials will be posted as they become available.
