    The Families First Coronavirus Response Act: Time Off Obligations (Updated)

    Effective April 2, the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) imposes some significant new obligations on employers with fewer than 500 employees. What follows is a detailed description of the employer-leave obligations that will be required by the FFCRA.

    Congress passed the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) on March 18 with overwhelming bipartisan support, and the president signed the law that evening.

    Effective April 2, the FFCRA imposes some significant new obligations on employers with fewer than 500 employees.
