Guerin wins State Bar president-elect post

D. Michael Guerin of Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin &
Brown in Milwaukee won the race for State Bar president-elect, defeating
Thomas L. Shriner of Foley & Lardner in Milwaukee.
Guerin's term begins July 1 when Michelle Behnke, Madison,
succeeds George Burnett as State Bar president.

In other State Bar elections, Gretchen G. Viney of
Viney & Viney in Baraboo was elected State Bar secretary, defeating
William C. Hess of Wausau's Hess, Dexter,
Reinertson & Brunner S.C..
Beth Ermatinger Hanan of Milwaukee's Gass
Weber Mullins, LLC defeated Thomas D. Zilavy of
Madison's DeWitt Ross & Stevens S.C. for a seat on the
Judicial Council.

president-elect of the Nonresident Lawyers Division. Harvey L.
Wendel of Madison is the president-elect of the Senior Lawyers
Division. Alan L. Hougum of Wausau is the
president-elect of the Young Lawyers Division. All terms begin on July
1.
