Candidate for Judicial Council Representative
Joseph M. Cardamone III [email]
Kenosha County Corporation Counsel, Kenosha
Comments
I have just completed my twelfth year of practicing law. While this may seem young to some, I have been active in the State Bar for nearly 75 percent of that time. While the specifics will be in the biography that accompanies this statement, I have served on multiple committees, two division boards, been the president of the Young Lawyers’ Division, and served on both the Board of Governors and the Executive Committee. I feel so strongly about the value of volunteering for the Bar that I chair the Leadership Development Committee. When the call for candidates went out last fall, I felt compelled to step up and ask to be considered. I am truly honored to have been nominated to run for a seat on the Wisconsin Judicial Council. My varied background (government attorney, firm associate, and solo practitioner) should serve me well if elected to the Council, where I would intend to actively participate in assisting the judicial branch in seeking innovations to improve the organization and procedures that govern the courts. As lawyers, we are exceedingly aware of the importance of ensuring that the courts are managed efficiently and fairly, and I hope for the opportunity to be a part of the process of working on those issues.
