President-elect Post Goes to Mowris

Gerald W. Mowris of Pellino, Rosen, Mowris &
Kirkhuff, Madison, has won the race for State Bar president-elect with
2,869 votes. His opponent, James A. Jaeger, also of
Madison, received 2,325 votes. Mowris's term begins July 1 when Gary
Bakke, New Richmond, succeeds Leonard Loeb as State Bar president.
Kristin L. Karrmann of Karrmann, Buggs & Baxter,
Platteville, was elected State Bar secretary, defeating Paul G.
Swanson, Oshkosh, 2,651 votes to 2,273 votes.
Timothy L. Vocke of Eckert, Kost & Vocke,
Rhinelander, defeated Keith Rodli, River Falls, for a
seat on the Judicial Council, 2,902 votes to 1,829 votes.
Elected to serve on the State Bar Board of Governors were:
- District 2: Richard J. Cayo, Diane S. Diel,
Alexander Pendleton, Michael D. Rosenberg, Christopher J. Stawski, and
Mary E. Triggiano, all of Milwaukee
- District 4: William F. Fale, Sheboygan
- District 6: William J. Domina, Waukesha
- District 8: Thomas J. Graham Jr., Eau Claire
- District 9: Michelle Behnke, Michael Christopher,
and Milo Flaten, all of Madison
- District 10: Robert W. Swain Jr., Appleton
- District 12: John H. Andrews, Janesville
- District 14: Debra R. Mancoske, Green Bay
- District 16: William C. Hess, Wausau

Christopher R. Benson (Nonresident Lawyers
Division), and Laura Anne Dunek (Young Lawyers
Division) will begin their terms as presidents-elect of their respective
divisions on July 1.
