Speaker addresses diversity initiatives, strategies for change
June 19, 2001
State Bar members are invited to attend the 2001 Diversity in
the Legal Profession program on June 28 at the University Club in
Milwaukee. This complimentary luncheon will focus on diversity
initiatives in the legal profession. It is the second collaborative
effort of the State Bar's Diversity Counsel Demonstration Program, the
Bar's Diversity Outreach Committee, and the Wisconsin Chapter of the
American Corporate Counsel Association.
Gerardo Gonzalez, Chair of the Diversity Counsel Demonstration
Program said, "Last year these same groups collaborated to produce a
successful event, and we decided to join forces again. We are pleased to
announce that Stacey Mobley, Du Pont senior vice president and general
counsel, is our featured speaker. In keeping with the Diversity Counsel
Demonstration Program's objective of increasing minority and women
lawyers' opportunities within the legal profession, Mobley will share Du
Pont's perspectives on diversity initiatives and present their
strategies for change."
Du Pont is the forty-second largest U.S. industrial/service
corporation. Du Pont operates in approximately 70 countries worldwide
and employs 93,000 employees - a third of these employees work outside
the United States.
