Congratulations to Michelle Behnke!
Michelle A. Behnke, U.W. 1988, has been elected treasurer of the American Bar Association (ABA) for a three-year term that begins in August 2017. As treasurer, she will hold the highest ranking position by a Wisconsin lawyer since the 1940s. Behnke is principal of Michelle Behnke & Associates, Madison, and is a past president of the State Bar and a past member of the ABA Board of Governors. She currently serves in the ABA House of Delegates.
New Hires, Promotions, Partners
Jeanne M. Armstrong, U.W. 1993 cum laude, has joined Fuhrman & Dodge S.C., Middleton, as a contract shareholder attorney, where she will continue to practice in the areas of commercial litigation, including shareholder disputes and business torts; insurance law; construction and real estate litigation; trust and estate disputes; municipal law and land use litigation; civil rights law; employment disputes; intellectual property litigation; and consumer law. She also serves on the Executive Committee of the James E. Doyle Chapter of the American Inns of Court.
Ronald E. English III, Marquette 2010, has been named a partner in Hippenmeyer, Reilly, Moodie & Blum S.C., Waukesha.
Brian T. Fahl,Rutgers 2002, has been elected shareholder with Kravit, Hovel & Krawczyk s.c., Milwaukee. He concentrates in business and commercial litigation; white-collar criminal defense; appellate practice; administrative, licensing, and regulatory matters; employment law; environmental litigation; and intellectual property litigation.
William (Nick) Foshag, Marquette 2006, has been named a partner at Gray & Associates L.L.P., New Berlin. He is a member of the creditors’ rights group and concentrates his practice in foreclosure law, mortgage and compliance law, and related litigation.
Daniel J. Glass, Marquette 2011, has become a partner in Kinney, Urban & Kussmaul LLC, Lancaster. The firm will now be known as Urban, Kussmaul, Muller & Glass LLC. Glass’s practice concentrates in the areas of business, real estate, and estate planning.

Amber C. Coisman, Boston Univ. 2002, is with the litigation practice group in the Green Bay office and focuses on complex business disputes, including contract disputes, product liability, commercial torts, employment, real estate, and insurance coverage. Previously, she was with a Chicago firm.
Patrick J. Cannon, Gonzaga 2010 cum laude, is with the corporate practice group in the Milwaukee office and focuses on entity formation and continued growth strategy, commercial contract negotiation, and mergers and acquisitions. Previously he was with a local-area firm.
Aaron P. McCann, Marquette 2012, is with the labor, employment, and immigration practice group in the Green Bay office and focuses on counseling and advocating for employers through all aspects of an employment relationship, beginning with issues in recruitment and hiring at the outset and continuing through severance discussions, termination, and, when necessary, post-employment litigation. Previously, he was with a Milwaukee-area law firm.
Nathan O. Hadsell, U.W. 2005, has been named a partner at Vanek, Vickers & Masini P.C., Chicago, and continues to concentrate in construction and commercial litigation.
Jerilyn Jacobs, Cornell 1998,has been promoted to partner at Gonzalez Saggio & Harlan’s Milwaukee office, where she is with the labor and employment group.
Christopher S. Krimmer, U.W. 1997 cum laude, has joined the Madison office of DeWitt Ross & Stevens S.C. as a member of the family law team and focuses on divorce, legal separation, child custody and support, paternity, and adoptions, among other areas. He also is an adjunct professor at Marquette Law School.
Stephen Lasky, Marquette 2007, has been named a shareholder with Moertl, Wilkins & Campbell S.C., Milwaukee, and continues to focus his practice on trusts and estates, elder law, and small business and tax matters.
Jacob A. Manian, Marquette 2007, has been promoted to shareholder with Fox, O’Neill & Shannon S.C., Milwaukee, which he joined in 2012. His practice focuses on civil and criminal litigation.

Amy L. Barnes, Marquette 2008 magna cum laude, is with the tax practice in the Milwaukee office. Her practice focuses on structuring and negotiating mergers, acquisitions and reorganizations; designing and implementing executive compensation arrangements; and assisting clients with various federal and state tax issues.
Lucas N. Roe, U.W. 2008 cum laude, Order of the Coif, and Joseph D. Shumow, Washington Univ. 2007, are with the real estate practice in Madison. Roe provides legal counsel to clients in connection with acquiring, financing, developing, leasing, and selling real estate nationwide. Shumow’s tax credit practice focuses on representing developers, credit allocators, lenders, and investors involved with low-income housing, new markets, and historic tax credit transactions.
Benjamin D. Suesskind, Ohio State 2008 cum laude, is withthe employee benefits practice in the Milwaukee office. He advises clients on a variety of issues involving employee benefits, including plan administration, tax qualification matters, fiduciary issues, notice and reporting requirements, and other statutory and regulatory compliance issues.
Jon Richards, U.W. 1994,has joined Ziino, Germanotta, Knoll & Christensen, Milwaukee, as a partner. Richards’ practice areas include business formation and transactions, nonprofit governance, estate planning, probate administration, real estate, and consumer law.
Jason Roberts, Marquette 2010, has been promoted to senior consultant with Thomson Reuters Tax and Accounting in the Portland, Ore., area. His area of focus is international value-added tax determination and compliance.
Victor Schultz, Marquette 1985, has been promoted to president and chief fiduciary officer of Prairie Financial Group®, Oconomowoc, a division of Waukesha State Bank. Schultz oversees all day-to-day management of the division, including personal trust services, retirement plan services, investment management, and operations.
Andrew P. Smith, U.W. 1991, has joined Mallery & Zimmerman S.C. as a shareholder in the firm’s new Rhinelander office, 8-A W. Davenport St. Smith represents governmental entities and school districts and their board members on a wide range of issues, including litigation matters in all state, federal, and administrative courts in Wisconsin. He also provides estate and succession planning services to individuals, families, and businesses.
Nathaniel J. Wojan, Marquette 2011, has become a shareholder at Petit & Dommershausen S.C., Menasha, and focuses on criminal defense and family law.

Richard A. Coad, William Mitchell 2004, has reopened Coad Law Office S.C., 10 E. Doty St., Suite 513, Madison. Also with the firm is Dennis E. Burke, U.W. 1972. The firm continues to focus on criminal defense in state and federal court and appeals.
James J. Mathie, Marquette 1986, has opened Mathie Mediation Services LLC, 757 N. Water St., Suite 350, Milwaukee, and has moved his law offices to that location.

Weld Riley S.C. has changed its name from Weld, Riley, Prenn & Ricci S.C. The firm has offices in Eau Claire, Black River Falls, and Menomonie, with more than 30 attorneys serving clients in all areas of practice. Weld Riley S.C. makes this change as it celebrates 25 years of practice.

Team members practice in areas including labor and employment, litigation, environmental, employee benefits, construction services, and worker’s compensation. Eisenmann and Hertel are shareholders in the Milwaukee office and members of the labor and employment team.
William D. Gardner, Brooklyn 1997, has been named leader of the firm’s commercial finance team. He is with the Milwaukee office and is a member of the business restructuring, creditors’ rights, and bankruptcy team.
