New Hires, Promotions, Partners

Robert D. Crivello, Marquette 2003 cum laude, has become a shareholder with Cannon & Dunphy S.C., Brookfield, and focuses on personal injury and civil litigation.

Bob Crnkovich, Georgetown 1989, has joined the U.S. Treasury Department, Washington, D.C., as senior counsel in the Office of Tax Legislative Counsel and focuses on partnership and real estate matters. He continues teaching at Georgetown University Law Center.

Matthew K. Impola, U.W. 2000, and Kelly Kuglitsch, DePaul 2002 cum laude, have joined the Milwaukee office of Davis & Kuelthau S.C. Impola is with the corporate and real estate practices group. Kuglitsch is with the employee benefits practice group.

Alex De Grand, Kentucky 2006, has joined the Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy trial office, Owensboro. He previously was legal writer for the State Bar of Wisconsin, Madison.

Michael Delzer, Marquette 1996, has been promoted to president and chief operating officer at Delzer Lithograph Co., Waukesha.

Michael R. Devitt, Drake 2005, has become a shareholder with the newly renamed Quincey, Becker, Schuessler, Chase & Devitt S.C., Beaver Dam and Mayville. Devitt focuses on personal injury, criminal defense, and general civil litigation.

Paul A. Dirkse, U.W. 1994, has become a partner with Hopp Neumann Humke LLP, Sheboygan, and continues to focus on municipal, land use, real estate, estate planning, and probate matters.

Adam J. Essman, Marquette 2009, has joined the Law Office of John A. Best LLC, West Bend, as an associate and focuses on family law, criminal defense, personal injury, and real estate matters.

Steven E. Hendrix, U.W. 1987, has been named assistant mission director for USAID/Paraguay. He previously was with USAID/Iraq. He also has written The New Nicaragua: Lessons in Development, Democracy and Nation-building for the United States (Praeger Pub. 2009).

Nicholas J. Infusino, U.W. 2005 magna cum laude, has been promoted to partner with Madrigano, Aiello & Santarelli LLC, Kenosha, and continues to focus on civil litigation and business, real estate, and employment law.

Natalie M. King, Marquette 1992, has become assistant associate vice president of faculty affairs at San José State University, San Jose, Calif. She previously taught at Santa Clara University Law School, Santa Clara, Calif.

Johanna R. Kirk, Hamline 2006, has joined the newly renamed Knudson, Torvinen, Jones & Kirk S.C., Superior, as a shareholder.

John E. Lange, U.W. 1975 cum laude, has joined the global health program of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. He previously was with the U.S. Department of State’s Foreign Service.

Eric N. Mathison, U.W. 1999 cum laude, has become general counsel for CNH Capital-North America, Racine, the finance company for CNH America, which manufactures construction and agricultural equipment.

M. Scott McBride, Marquette 2002 summa cum laude, has been named a partner at Andrus, Sceales, Starke & Sawall LLP, Milwaukee, and continues to focus on intellectual property law.

Charity A. McCarthy, U.W. 2003, has been promoted to partner at Melli Law S.C., Madison, and continues to focus on estate planning, employee benefits, business law, and real estate.

Christy Mennen, Iowa 2002, has been promoted to shareholder at Halleland Lewis Nilan & Johnson, Minneapolis, and continues to focus on products liability defense and personal injury, wrongful death, and property damage claims.

Scott D. Nabke, U.W. 2001, has joined Blommer Peterman S.C., Brookfield, as an associate and focuses on mortgage-foreclosure and bankruptcy matters.

Kathleen Pakes, Louisville 1995, has joined the State Public Defender’s Office as legal counsel. She previously was Rusk County District Attorney.

			Lindsey Christofferson, Hamline 2008, Brian P. Dimmer, Marquette 2009 cum laude, and Anna M. Kees, Marquette 2009, have joined Petit & Dommershausen S.C., Menasha, as associates. Christofferson focuses on family law. Dimmer focuses on criminal defense and appellate law. Kees focuses on criminal defense, guardianships, and employment law.

Jared M. Potter, Florida Coastal 2007, has joined the Brookfield office of Stafford Rosenbaum LLP as a senior associate and focuses on probate law, estate planning, family law, and business law.

Dan Sanford, U.W. 1973, has been named deputy general counsel and director of legal services with American Transmission Co., Pewaukee. He previously was managing attorney with the company.

Mark T. Scheffer, Univ. of the Pacific-McGeorge 1984, has joined Relles, Long & Milliken LLP, Madison, as a partner and focuses on estate planning, elder law, residential and commercial real estate matters, and small-business matters.

Daneille M. Strong, Hamline 2009, has joined Weld, Riley, Prenn & Ricci S.C., Eau Claire, and focuses on insurance defense and civil litigation.

Terry A. Trogdon, North Dakota 1998, has been promoted to partner at the newly renamed Gerlach, Beaumier & Trogdon Attorneys at Law, Duluth, Minn., and continues to represent clients in Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Richard F. Verstegen, U.W. 1997, has been promoted to partner at Lathrop & Clark LLP, Madison, and continues to focus on school law, labor relations, and employment law.

Michael J. Maloney, Marquette 2004, has been named a partner at Watton Law Group, which has moved to 700 N. Water St., Suite 500, Milwaukee. Dennis J. Elverman, Marquette 2009, has become an associate with the firm, which focuses on bankruptcy, consumer litigation, and Social Security matters.

Beth Zimmermann, Marquette 2000, has joined the Schroeder Group S.C. Attorneys at Law, Waukesha, and focuses on corporate matters and estate planning, guardianships, and probate.

Mergers, Relocations, New Associations

Mike Bauer, U.W. 1988, and Daniel Bach, U.W. 1984, have formed Bauer & Bach LLC, 123 E. Main St., Madison, and focus on civil and criminal litigation, emphasizing representing property owners in eminent domain proceedings. Peg Lautenschlager, U.W. 1980, is of counsel and focuses on union-side labor and employment law, attorney-general-related matters, and civil litigation.

Patrick Cavanaugh Brennan, Marquette 1988, has formed Brennan Law Offices LLC, Suite 200 Riverfront Plaza, 1110 Old World Third St., Milwaukee, focusing on criminal defense and plaintiffs’ side negligence actions. He previously was with von Briesen & Roper S.C., Milwaukee.

Robert J. King, William Mitchell 1980, has been elected secretary of the Minnesota chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates. He is with Lommen, Abdo, Cole, King & Stageberg P.A., Minneapolis, and focuses on medical-malpractice, products-liability, and industrial-accident matters.

Jonathan T. Levy, U.W. 1995, has been elected president of the Palm Beach County Justice Association. He is with Rosenthal, Levy & Simon P.A., West Palm Beach, Fla.

John C. Mitby, U.W. 1971, has been named managing partner of Axley Brynelson LLP, Madison, a firm celebrating its 125th anniversary.

Matthew R. Robbins, Wayne State 1977, has been elected president of Previant, Goldberg, Uelmen, Gratz, Miller & Brueggeman S.C., Milwaukee.

The Wisconsin Association of Worker’s Compensation Attorneys has elected the following officers: president – John Edmondson, Appleton; president-elect – Tom Niemiec, Milwaukee; treasurer – Mark W.
