The sesquicentennial celebration, titled “150th Wisconsin Women in the Law,” was designed to honor Goodell’s resilience and persistence to be admitted to practice law in Wisconsin courts and her various means of leading the way for development of the law and diversification of the profession.
The celebration included a series of articles on “Women History-Makers” and “Women to Watch” published throughout 2024 in the Wisconsin Lawyer and other content in State Bar of Wisconsin publications; and a continuing legal education program, presented by a diverse group of attorneys and moderated by Justice Ann Walsh Bradley, at the State Bar’s Annual Meeting & Convention in Green Bay in June.
