Biography
Mark grew up in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, and graduated from Goodrich High School (1965) and Harvard College (1969) before joining the United States Navy from 1969 to 1972.
Following his naval service, Mark attended Harvard Law School, graduating in 1975. After practicing law briefly with his brother in Fond du Lac, Mark joined Foley & Lardner's Milwaukee office in 1976, where he was an associate and then partner until 1992. Mark joined Rite-Hite Corporation as its first corporate counsel in 1992, and later served as President and later chief executive officer of Rite-Hite Holding Corporation from 2000 to 2012, when he retired.
During his legal and business careers, Mark practiced primarily in the Estates and Trusts and Corporate and Business Law areas, and also has extensive experience in litigation, dispute resolution matters, and corporate acquisitions and strategic planning. Mark was a member of the Governor's Judicial Selection Committee under Governor Scott McCallum.
