March 15, 2017 – The State Bar’s Board of Governors influence the future of the State Bar as well as set its policy direction. Your vote for these candidates will make a difference in the future of the practice of law in Wisconsin.
About the Election for the State Bar Board of Governors
The Board of Governors is the State Bar's policymaking body. Governors serve two-year terms.
Districts 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 11, 13, and 15 will elect governors in 2017. District 2 (Milwaukee) elects seven; District 9 (Dane) elects three; and all other districts elect one.
The State Bar will mail election ballots no later than April 14, 2017. They must be returned by April 28, 2017.
