The Blog: What Wisconsin Lawyers are Saying
The State Bar’s new Coronavirus & the Law Blog is a repository of articles from attorneys that address the coronavirus and its impact on the practice of law in Wisconsin and elsewhere.
The blog is an aggregate of selected contentfrom the State Bar and Wisconsin lawyers. It is another way to stay on top of fast-moving developments in this area.

The Elist: An Open Forum
The new Coronavirus & the Law electronic list (elist) provides an open forum for State Bar of Wisconsin members to discuss the evolving issues related to coronavirus and COVID-19.
This elist is open to all State Bar members across all disciplines and practice areas. It allows lawyers to join together in conversation to discuss its impact on their practice in Wisconsin and elsewhere.
The elist also provides a continuing forum for discussions after each of the ongoing Virtual Town Hall sessions sponsored by State Bar sections through April 3.
“Rather than having conversations in different places and within our personal networks, this elist provides an opportunity for all of us to learn from each other’s questions and guidance,” said Nilesh Patel, an organizer of the elist.
How to Join the Coronavirus & the Law (covid) Elist
- Log into WisBar.org with your myStateBar account;
- go to the Elists webpage;
- scroll down to “Programs Lists;”
- find the entry, Coronavirus & the Law Elist (covid@elists.wisbar.org); and
- click its “SUBSCRIBE” button.
A few minutes after clicking the button, you will receive an automated email from the elist that provides a link to confirm your subscription. (Please note that the short name of the elist is “covid”).
Once you confirm your subscription, you will receive a welcome email with user instructions on posting, visiting the elist archives, managing your elists, and how to unsubscribe.
