Feb. 26, 2025 – The Wisconsin Law Foundation seeks grant applications for charitable or educational programs in Wisconsin that promote greater public understanding of the law and the improvement of the administration of justice, or are an educational program or project that directly affects Wisconsin residents.

Thanks to donations from State Bar of Wisconsin members, the Foundation annually provides high-impact Truman Q. McNulty grants of up to $2,800 each to projects that directly affect Wisconsin residents.

One example: the Wisconsin Teen Court Association received a $2,500 grant to support the 2024 Wisconsin Restorative Justice Summit.

The Restorative Justice Summit is a statewide educational forum that brings together young people and youth-serving professionals to collaborate in advancing equitable, evidence-based restorative justice and peacemaking practices that aim to transform youth services, programs and communities in Wisconsin.

The 2024 Summit was held at Madison College Truax Campus with keynote speaker Everett Mitchell, presiding judge in the juvenile division for the Dane County Circuit Court.

In 2024, the Foundation awarded $32,600 in grants to 13 organizations that help youth in teen courts, self-represented family law litigants, families burdened by medical debt, immigration legal programs, eviction diversion initiatives, and other programs that promote public understanding of the law, improve the administration of justice, and provide law-related public service.

Find out more about past recipients on the Foundation’s webpage and in the July 17, 2024, issue of InsideTrack.

More details about the grants are available on the McNulty Grant Guidelines and Instructions webpage.
