    Breakfast & Business: Eggs, Ethics and Answers seminar comes to Pembine

    May 27, 2009 – The State Bar Practice411™ Breakfast & Business: Eggs, Ethics and Answers series will be presented in Pembine on June 17. Pembine is conveniently located about an hour and a half from Rhinelander, Green Bay, and Marinette, and about a half hour from Iron Mountain, Mich. The seminar will be presented in two sessions, beginning with a hot breakfast at 8:15 a.m. and concluding at 11:15 a.m.

    The first session, Fees and Trust Accounting Under the New Professional Rules of Conduct, discusses how to modify your fee agreements to comply with new definitions for “advanced fees,” “flat fees,” and “retainers,” plus the new threshold of $1,000 in total costs. State Bar Ethics Counsel, Timothy J. Pierce will present this session.

    The second session, Safe Computing: Protecting Your Practice and Clients from Digital Disaster, will explore the perils of metadata, inadequate backup, incomplete security, and failure to protect confidential information. State Bar Practice Management Advisor Nerino Petro will present this session.

    Tuition is $40 for members and $50 for nonmembers. The program will be submitted for up to 2.0 CLE credits and up to 2.0 EPR credits.
