Jan. 6, 2010 – State Bar CLE Seminars’ first in the 2010 series of Breakfast & Business: Eggs, Ethics and Answers comes to Madison on Jan. 20, from 8:15 to 11:15 a.m. Breakfast & Business seminars will be coming to Milwaukee, Green Bay, Hudson, and Wausau.
The half-day seminar kicks off with “Safe Computing: Protecting Your Practice and Clients From Digital Disasters.” Digital disasters can befall any unwary practitioner. Explore the perils of metadata, inadequate backup, incomplete security, and failure to protect confidential info, and learn how to take steps to avoid them with State Bar Law Office Management advisor Nerino Petro.
The second session, “Expand Your Practice With Limited Scope Representation,” will be presented by State Bar Pro Bono coordinator Jeff Brown. Unbundling of legal services or limited scope representation may be a way to increase your client base, but is it right for you? Learn some barriers to providing it as well as Supreme Court Rules you need to follow to avoid malpractice. Brown will also discuss some valuable resources to get you started down the right path.
Tuition is $40 for members and $50 for nonmembers. The program will be submitted for up to 2.0 CLE and EPR credits.
