Opening Plenary: Ken Goldstein on ‘Public Opinion, the Press, and Political Persuasion in the Age of Trump’
Ken Goldstein, professor of politics at University of San Francisco, and one of the country's premier experts on the use and impact of political advertising, opens the Annual Conference with his talk, ‘Public Opinion, the Press, and Political Persuasion in the Age of Trump.’
Goldstein's reputation for non-partisan analysis has made him a favorite source for politicians and the news media alike. He has appeared numerous times on Newshour with Jim Lehrer, Nightline, ABC World News Tonight, NBC Nightly News, CBS Evening News, FOX News Channel, MSNBC, CNBC, and CNN, and is a frequent contributor on National Public Radio.
Closing Plenary: Wes Moore, Best-selling author and founder, BridgeEDU
Acclaimed author Wes Moore is a veteran, Rhodes Scholar, and the founder of BridgeEDU – an organization addressing the college completion and job placement crisis. He has served as a White House Fellow to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and as a political/economic analyst for NBC news.
Moore is also the host of Beyond Belief on the Oprah Winfrey Network, and the executive producer and host of PBS’s Coming Back with Wes Moore, which focuses on the re-integration of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans and their return home.
