Court sanctions against attorneys: Wisconsin Supreme Court asked to rule on due process rights of lawyers
Feb. 16, 2011 — In the past year, Wisconsin appeals courts have more frequently imposed monetary sanctions against lawyers who don't include all the proper documents in the appendix to appellant briefs. The State Public Defender's Office recently filed a petition with the Wisconsin Supreme Court to review the constitutionality of imposing such fines without notice.
