Nov. 25, 2015 – We are fortunate and have much to be thankful for this year. This special day is a good time to reflect on all that has happened and all that is yet to come.
Ralph Cagle, U.W. 1974, is of counsel to Hurley, Burish & Stanton, S.C., Madison. He is also an emeritus clinical professor at the U.W. Law School.
George C. Brown is the executive director for the State Bar of Wisconsin.
This year, we observe a common theme among members of our profession: a passion and commitment to service and leadership. Whether it’s helping a client, a colleague or a friend, or leading your community or our profession, the selfless acts of lawyers matter and make a difference.
So, on Thanksgiving, we give thanks to all of you for the time, energy and talent you invest in giving back. We are all busy, so it might be easy to justify doing a little less. Thank you for doing more.
The future of our profession is bright, in large measure because of your passion and commitment to service. Happy Thanksgiving!
