Nov. 20, 2019 – We know you don’t hear it enough, so we want to say it again: Thank you.
Thank you to our members who serve their fellow lawyers through their work on State Bar committees, working groups, task forces, and section and division boards. Thank you to members who offer expertise and knowledge as Wisconsin Lawyer contributors and through CLE seminars.
Thank you to our members who help bridge the justice gap by volunteering their time providing pro bonolegal aid.
Thank you to those who help improve access to justice by contributing financially to the Wisconsin Law Foundation, the State Bar’s charitable arm, to the Wisconsin Equal Justice Fund, WisTAF, and other entities helping to fun free civil, legal services for Wisconsin’s most vulnerable.
Thank you to our members who serve their communities by coaching Mock Trial teams, volunteering for nonprofit boards, local soup kitchens, and other public service.
Thank you to our members for your hard work and dedication serving your clients, protecting individual rights and liberties, guiding businesses, and assisting state and local governments. In particular, thank you to those members who serve the underrepresented—namely the poor, the vulnerable, the marginalized and those in our most rural communities. Wisconsin lawyers serve as the guardians of a just and fair society.
Jill M. Kastner is the president of the State Bar of Wisconsin.

The State Bar of Wisconsin exists to serve its members, the public, and to promote the rule of law and access to justice. The only way to accomplish this mission is with support from you, the members, who volunteer your time and talents. That is why we, the State Bar leadership, want to express our sincere and wholehearted gratitude for all of our members who have generously given of their time serving others.
To all the members of the State Bar of Wisconsin, thank you, and happy Thanksgiving to you and your families.
