Every day, we see examples of members who donate their time and talent not only to the State Bar of Wisconsin, but also to the communities in which they work and call home.
Attorneys and judges are busy people. Sometimes it may feel like there aren’t enough hours in the day to volunteer between other professional activities, all while trying to achieve work-life balance. But countless State Bar members volunteer every day, with or without recognition.
Your volunteer efforts – whether with the State Bar or in your community – matter to us. You make a monumental difference when: working on pro bono cases, supporting racial justice, diversity and inclusion in the legal profession, mentoring young lawyers, guiding small businesses with legal help through the pandemic, working on access to justice in rural Wisconsin, or coaching a mock trial team.
On top of that, you volunteer your time coaching youth sports, working at poll sites to ensure a fair election, serving on nonprofit boards that need legal expertise, and more.
Simply put, we are in awe of the work you do to support the legal profession, access to justice, and your community. It’s ALL very important. Not only is the State Bar strong because of you, but our communities are stronger because of you.
Thanks-For-Giving and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families.
