A third-party entity has registered a deceptive domain, member-wisbar.org, which closely mimics the State Bar’s official domain. This entity is sending emails containing malicious attachments, masquerading as communications from the State Bar of Wisconsin.

    A third-party entity has registered a deceptive domain, member-wisbar.org, which closely mimics the State Bar’s official domain. This entity is sending emails containing malicious attachments, masquerading as communications from the State Bar of Wisconsin.

    • Email Origin: The fraudulent emails originate from the domain [name]@member-wisbar.org. Please note that our legitimate emails come from the following list of domains: [name]@wisbar.org, [name]@elists.wisbar.org, [name]@mktg.wisbar.org, [name]@govrel.wisbar.org.

    • Malicious Attachments: The emails may include attachments or links that are harmful if opened or clicked. These could potentially lead to malware infections or data breaches.
