State Bar announces CLE Webcast seminars as regular delivery
medium
September 26, 2003
Beginning this fall, State Bar members can attend select CLE seminars
right from their desktops as a regular State Bar CLE offering. Webcast
seminars - like live and video seminars - are offered at a scheduled
time, but can be accessed from your home, office, or even on the
road.

During Webcast seminars, attendees receive a live video stream via a
link accessed through their computers. Slides and seminar handout
material can be downloaded prior to the start of the program.
Participants can submit their questions to the presenters during the
program's interactive portion.
"Feedback on two small-scale test programs offered this summer was
very positive," says State Bar CLE Director Tom Dixon. "Participants
agreed that Webcast seminars are a welcome offering that saves time and
expense - no travel, no out-of-the-office downtime, no parking, no gas.
Webcast seminars are especially convenient for nonresident Wisconsin
lawyers seeking Wisconsin credit."
LegalSpan.com, a national online distributor of continuing legal
education, is the State Bar's select online CLE partner. With
Legalspan's delivery vehicle, the State Bar will provide Internet
attendees with a first-rate online CLE experience, from registration
through certification of completion.
"To receive credit attendees must attend the live online broadcast,"
says Dixon. "As an added bonus, the program will be accessible for three
months after the seminar for educational and followup purposes."
