The State of Wisconsin's Legislative Reference Bureau, a legislative support agency which provides drafting services to the Legislature, has created a style committee to review its drafting policies for the Wisconsin Statutes.

The State of Wisconsin's Legislative Reference
Bureau, a legislative support agency which provides drafting
services to the Legislature, has created a style committee to review its
drafting policies for the Wisconsin Statutes. The committee seeks
comments from attorneys and judges around the state to assist in
determining changes that may improve the style of legislative
drafting.
The focus of the review is not the substance or content of the
statutes themselves; it deals with the technical aspects of spelling,
grammar, punctuation, word usage and capitalization. Suggestions,
criticisms or other comments relating to bills, including their
analyses, and the statutes as they are currently written, should be
forwarded to the style committee by August 31, 1999, to:
