Ballman, Gray, Merrell, Mary Pat Ninneman, and Speckhard were named among the top 25 female lawyers in the state. Bannen, Daniels, Lappin, and Parsons were named among the top 50 lawyers in the state. Daily was named one of the top 10 lawyers in the state.

    Art Law Conversations, by Elizabeth T. Russell, Pace 1986, has been included on the 2005 list of outstanding academic titles by CHOICE magazine, a publication of the Association of College and Research Libraries. Russell has a solo practice in Madison.

    Six attorneys with Stafford Rosenbaum LLP have been named "2005 Wisconsin Super Lawyers" by Law & Politics Media Inc. Recognized attorneys are Brian Butler, Robert Horowitz, Richard Nordeng, Daniel Stolper, Daphne Webb, and Joseph Wright. Webb was named one of the top 25 female lawyers in the state.

    Tony Welhouse, U.W. 1977, has been selected for inclusion in the 2006 edition of The Best Lawyers in America. He is with Welhouse Law Office, Appleton, and focuses on worker's compensation and Social Security disability matters.

    Pro Bono, Public Service

    Michael F. Hupy & Associates S.C. (now Hupy and Abraham S.C.) distributed 100 Thanksgiving food baskets in Milwaukee and also donated funds to the Hunger Task Force and Second Harvest.

    Employees of the Milwaukee office of Foley & Lardner LLP gave up their traditional Thanksgiving staff luncheon and instead donated funds for Thanksgiving dinners provided by the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, the Milwaukee Rescue Mission, St. Benedict the Moor Catholic Church, and Faith Fellowship Baptist Church.
