Regarding File Retention
Dear Client,
Attorney Adams has withdrawn from the law partnership of Smith &
Jones S.C. Attorney Adams will continue his practice of law at 101 S. Main
St., Four Lakes, Wis. This letter is being written jointly by Attorney Adams
and Smith & Jones S.C. for the purpose of ascertaining your wishes with
respect to choice of counsel and the disposition of files in the custody
of Attorney Adams that relate to our representation of you and your legal
matters.
As you are aware, it is your right to retain counsel of your choice.
Accordingly, we will handle your files as you direct.
In the event you retain Smith & Jones S.C. as your counsel, your
files and the responsibility therefor will remain with Smith & Jones
S.C. In the event that you choose Attorney Adams as your counsel, responsibility
relating to your legal matters will be transferred to him. Please indicate
your preference by signing and dating the appropriate space at the bottom
of this original letter and sending it via the enclosed, stamped, self-addressed
envelope. You may retain the enclosed photocopy of this letter for your
files. Your immediate attention to this matter will be most appreciated.
Both Attorney Adams and Smith & Jones S.C. have appreciated the opportunity
to represent you and will welcome the opportunity to serve you in the future.
