Gregg C. Hagopian, U.W. 1987, has written "Property-flipping:
The Phenomenon & the Crack-down" explaining fraudulent real estate
appraisals, published in the July/August issue of the International Association
of Assessing Officers' assessment journal. Hagopian is currently
a Milwaukee assistant city attorney.
Colleen C. Higgins, U.W. 1980, legal officer at the
International Maritime Organization, United Nations, London,
recently lectured and participated as a panelist in roundtable
discussions with experts from United Nations agencies at the
International Oceans Institute, Dalhousie University, Halifax,
Nova Scotia, Canada.
Richard J. Podell, U.W. 1969, Milwaukee, recently received
an ABA Allies for Justice Award for "particularly noteworthy
efforts by members of the bar, government officials, and others
in positions of leadership." Podell also received the Chair's
Cup from the ABA Family Law Section. The section's highest
honor recognizes "meritorious service exceeding what is
expected of our leadership." Podell, president of Richard
J. Podell & Associates, is past chair of the ABA Family Law
Section and serves as its liaison to the Canadian Bar Family
Law Section.
Jay A. Urban ,
Marquette 1992, a shareholder with Urban Taylor
& Stawski Ltd., has been appointed chair of the Public Service/Public
Image Committee of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America
(ATLA) New Lawyer Division. The committee enhances the image
of trial lawyers through community service and pro bono projects.
He also serves as Wisconsin's governor for the division.
Urban recently received an award for past exemplary service to
the division. He practices in plaintiff personal injury litigation. |

Baird, Tulsa 1974, have formed the law firm of Celba &

have tried cases in more than 20 states. The firm practices in
industry-wide litigation, railroad and trucking law, toxic torts,
environmental law, product liability, business litigation, and

Kristi L. Fry, U.W. 1982 cum laude, has opened Fry
Law Office S.C. at 7 Sheboygan St., Suite 202, Fond du Lac.

Jami S. Hubbard, U.W. 1997, has established AMI
Resource Group LLC, an international business consultancy
located in New York, N.Y., that provides business advice to foreigners
doing usiness in the U.S. She also has become a member of Media
Two LLC, an internet advertising agency for which she provides
consulting and marketing services.
Stephanie G. Rapkin, California Western 1982, has relocated
her law office to 11514 N. Port Washington Rd., Suite 3, Mequon.
Her practice is limited to estate planning and probate. She is
the author of the treatise "Planning for Large Estates"
published by Matthew Bender and an adjunct professor at U.W.-Milwaukee.
