Mark Amadeo, U.W. 1996, LL.M. Georgetown, has joined Sprenger
& Lang, Washington, D.C., as an associate. He previously was with the
Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation as an attorney for the Office of
the General Counsel.
Douglas Baker, Creighton 1989 cum laude, has joined the State
Bar of Wisconsin as a legal editor with the CLE Books Department. While
at Creighton, Baker was a member of both the Law Review and the Moot Court
Board. He has served as a law clerk for the U.S. District Court for the
District of Nebraska, has been in private practice, and most recently
served as a judicial clerk with the Nebraska Court of Appeals.
Paul N. Bley, U.W. 1980, LL.M.-Labor G.W.U. 1984, has joined the
Department of Defense's TRICARE Management Activity, Office of General
Counsel, Falls Church, Va., as the associate general counsel (personnel
law and administrative services). He previously was with the Office of
General Counsel, Defense Contract Audit Agency, Fort Belvoir, Va.
Clifford D. Bobholz, Hamline 1979, has joined the Baraboo office
of Quale, Hartmann, Pulsfus & Groeneweg S.C., working primarily in corporate,
estate planning, business, and employment law. He previously was a magistrate
in Iowa, and a corporate attorney with Menard Inc.
Jill Hutchinson Bollettieri, U.W. 1995, has joined the legal department
of General Mills Inc., Minneapolis, focusing on software, technology,
and e-commerce transactions, as well as food, advertising, and marketing
law. She formerly was an associate at Leonard, Street & Deinard P.A.,
Minneapolis.
Mathew E. Corr, U.W. 1997; Cobby J. Shereff, Benjamin N. Cardozo
1979, LL.M.-Trade Regulation N.Y.U. 1983; and Mollie A. Newcomb,
Marquette 2001, have joined Boyle, Fredrickson, Newholm, Stein & Gratz
S.C., Milwaukee, as associates.
Prior to joining the firm, Corr and Shereff were associates with Andrus,
Sceales, Starke & Sawall LLP. Newcomb has genetics research experience
and is eligible to sit for the U. S. Patent and Trademark Office registration
examination.
Christopher J. Brown, U.W. 1986, has become a director of Thomas
Miller P&I Ltd., London, England, managers of the United Kingdom Mutual
Steam Ship Assurance Association (Bermuda) Limited, the largest marine
liability insurer. After a period in London, Brown will be based in Hong
Kong, responsible for claims operations in Asia. Brown's emphasis is on
cargo transportation, funding of oil spills, and other marine environmental
liabilities.
Charles G. Curtis Jr., Chicago 1982, has joined Heller Ehrman
White & McAuliffe LLP's Madison office, in the environmental and intellectual
property litigation national practice groups. In addition to his appellate
litigation practice, Curtis will continue building his national practice
in Native American law, environmental and natural resources law, and intellectual
property litigation.
Curtis has played a key role in lawsuits defining the historic treaty
rights and present-day regulatory powers of several tribes, and has extensive
experience handling Indian law issues before federal, state, and tribal
tribunals. Curtis previously was with Foley & Lardner, where he served
as national chair of that firm's appellate practice group.
Frank T. Pasternak, John Marshall 1994, has joined Domnitz, Mawicke
& Goisman S.C., Milwaukee and Kenosha, as an associate practicing in personal
injury.
Robert L. Jaskulski, Marquette 1988, also with Domnitz, Mawicke
& Goisman, was elected an associate with the Wisconsin Chapter of the
American Board of Trial Advocates.
John Donahue, U.W. 1975, has joined Godfrey & Kahn S.C., Milwaukee,
as a shareholder in the employee benefits group. Donahue previously was
a partner with Weiss Berzowski Brady & Donahue.

Marquette 1989, have joined Cook & Franke S.C., Milwaukee, as associates.
Conta, previously with Otjen, Van Ert, Lieb & Weir S.C., will focus on
defense litigation; and Fleming, previously with Gutglass, Erickson &
Bonville S.C., will focus on class action lawsuits.
Leslie E. Erickson, Marquette 2000, has joined Mount Mary College,
Milwaukee, as associate director of major gifts. She previously was a
senior research analyst in the office of development research and systems
and resource development with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Faye M. Hammersley, Marquette 1998 cum laude, has been named corporate
counsel - intellectual property for Science Applications International
Corp., McLean, Va. She previously was an associate with Finnegan, Henderson,
Farabow, Garrett & Dunner.
Scott Kowalski, John Marshall 1995, has become president of The
Prairie Group, a newly created business accelerator service company. He
pre-viously was director of state government business for AE Business
Solutions.

Port Washington, as director of wealth management services. Lohre previously
was vice president and senior trust officer for the Milwaukee office of
U.S. Bank, and vice president and head of trust for the Milwaukee office
of Biltmore Investors Trust.
Paul Lucey, U.W. 1985 cum laude, has joined Michael Best & Friedrich,
Milwaukee, as a partner practicing in bankruptcy and creditors' rights.
He has represented both creditors and debtors in business and financial
restructurings in retail, real estate, warehousing, publishing, food processing,
hospitality, manufacturing, and professional services.
Philip P. Mann, Washington University 1983, has been named a member
of Christensen O'Connor Johnson Kindness PLLC, a Seattle intellectual
property firm. Mann joined the firm's litigation department as of counsel
in 1998, and will continue practicing in patent, trademark, copyright,
and unfair competition litigation.
