Pamela M. Krill, U.W. 1994 cum laude, and Tom O’Day, U.W. 2005, have rejoined Godfrey & Kahn S.C. Krillis with the investment management practice group in Madison and Milwaukee. He is a partner at Swanson, Martin & Bell LLP, Chicago, and focuses on complex business litigation matters, including toxic tort, product liability, pharmaceutical, class action, and commercial litigation.
Thomas A Gilligan Jr., William Mitchell 1989, has been appointed district court judge in Minnesota’s Second Judicial District. He previously was a shareholder at Murnane Brandt, St. Paul, Minn.
Jerard J. Jensen, U.W. 1978, a senior member of Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C.’s health law team and managing partner of the firm’s Madison office, has been named interim CEO of the Medical Group Management Association, Englewood, Colo., which represents medical practice administrators and executives nationwide.
John Rothstein, Marquette 1979, a partner at the Milwaukee office of Quarles & Brady LLP, has been named chair of the fiduciary, trust, and probate litigation subgroup. He is a member of the commercial litigation group, focusing on corporate disputes, product liability, probate, and real estate matters.
Peter Wilder, Missouri-Columbia 2008, has been appointed to the Wisconsin Mortgage Bankers Association board for a two-year term. He is a member of the banking and financial institutions practice group with the Milwaukee office of Godfrey & Kahn, S.C.

Michael Holden, Chicago-Kent 2008, an associate at Romanucci & Blandin LLC, Chicago, has joined the State Bar of Wisconsin. He practices personal injury, medical malpractice, products liability, nursing home negligence, premises liability, construction injury, and auto accident cases.
Todd J. Liebman, U.W. 1990, has earned a master of strategic studies degree from the U.S. Army War College, Carlisle Barracks, Pa. He is a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve Judge Advocate General Corps and is assigned as an operational law planner for the Joint Enabling Capabilities Command, Norfolk, Va. In his civilian practice, he is the Sauk County corporation counsel.
Judith Sperling-Newton, U.W. 1981, was recognized by the American Bar Association Commission on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity as an Ally in Small Practice, for her efforts in the movement for LGBT equality.
The Hon. Mary Triggiano, U.W. 1988, Vel Phillips Juvenile Justice Center, Milwaukee, will be recognized as the Jurist of the Year by the Wisconsin Chapter of the Justinian Society of Lawyers on Oct. 17 in Milwaukee.
The Wisconsin District Attorneys Association presented the 2013 State Prosecutor of the Year Awards to Ozaukee County district attorney Adam Gerol, Drake 1988, and Pierce County assistant district attorney William “Bill” H. Thorie, William Mitchell 1976.
