director of the Fair Housing Justice Center, a national civil rights

families and domestic violence victims. She previously was special
litigation counsel with the housing and civil enforcement section of the
U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, Washington, D.C.

Mergers, Relocations, New Associations
Mark Ehrmann, U.W. 1985, has moved from Godfrey
& Kahn's Milwaukee office to the Madison office, LaFollette Godfrey
& Kahn. He focuses on corporate finance, venture capital, mergers,
acquisitions, divestitures and other corporate transactions, securities,
and contract negotiations.
James J. Gende II, John Marshall 1995, has opened
Law Offices James J. Gende II S.C., Waukesha, concentrating in personal
injury and business litigation. He previously was with Cannon &
Dunphy S.C.
The two service corporations comprising Murphy, Gillick, Wicht &
Prachthauser have separated. Gillick, Wicht, Gillick &
Graf has moved to 6300 W. Bluemound Rd., Milwaukee, and will

Barry Stern, U.W. 1980, has opened Barry Stern

Pro Bono, Public Service
The attorneys and staff of Habush Habush & Rottier
S.C., Milwaukee, recently completed a drive to collect toiletry
items for the Milwaukee Women's Center. The firm organizes collections
for several charitable organizations each year.

Slattery & Duffey Ltd. presented the $500 Liberty
in Law Award scholarship to high school student Elizabeth Kallenberger.
The Waukesha firms sponsor the local competition, which requires
entrants to write an essay about things lawyers do to protect and

2004 Rotary Person of the Year - Vocational Recognition Award. He is
