matters in the health care area.

Stacy M. Ludwig, U.W. 1988, has become an adjunct
professor at American University Washington College of Law, Washington,

Kristin R. Muenzen, Marquette 2003, has joined the

affairs director with the State Bar of Wisconsin. Roys previously was

Laura C. Smythe, U.W. 1997, has joined Alternative
Resolutions Inc., Appleton, as a mediator with a focus on family
services. She previously was an associate with the Sutter Law Firm,
Appleton.

Joseph E. Tierney IV, U.W. 1995, has joined the

Kathryn Mullen Upton, Marquette 2001, has joined the
Thomas B. Fordham Foundation, Dayton, Ohio, as director of charter

efforts to provide civil legal services to low-income persons for the
past three decades.

Pro Bono, Public
Service
Employees of Murphy Desmond S.C., Madison, provided
gifts, household items, and food for a local family through an "adopt a
family" program sponsored by the Salvation Army. The firm also
contributed money to Toys for Tots.
Matthew Storms, Case Western Reserve 1996, has
established a nonprofit entity, the Badger OIF Foundation, to benefit
Iraqi children. Storms is deployed in Iraq with the Wisconsin Army
National Guard and was recently promoted to major. He practices business
