Grant A. Beardsley, Stetson 2012, has joined the Eau Claire office of Weld, Riley, Prenn & Ricci S.C. and is with the business and government/industrial sand sections, focusing on real estate. He previously practiced in Florida.

Awards, Degrees, Honors
John W. Daniels Jr., Harvard 1974, has been named 2014 Trustee of the Year by the Wisconsin Hospital Association Inc. He is chair emeritus at Quarles & Brady LLP, Milwaukee.
Rachel Monaco-Wilcox, Marquette 2004, was awarded the 2014 Wisconsin Association of Mediators President’s Award for significant contributions to the advancement of mediation. She is chair of and an assistant professor with the Justice Department at Mount Mary University, Milwaukee, and coordinator of the LOTUS (legal options for trafficked and underserved survivors) legal clinic.
Rebecca Persick, Chicago-Kent 1994, was honored for her service as Sheboygan County Bar Association president at a bar meeting in November. She is a Sheboygan County court commissioner.
Quarles & Brady LLP partners Michael Gonring, Marquette 1982, and Michael Ostermeyer, Vanderbilt 1989, have been honored as Wisconsin Legal Innovators by the State Bar. Gonring, a member of the firm’s product liability practice group, was recognized for his work developing the Mobile Legal Clinic. Ostermeyer, a member of the real estate practice group, was recognized for his Partner Development Program.
Pro Bono, Public Service
Michael Best & Friedrich LLP attorneys and Marquette Law School students drafted almost 100 estate planning documents at a Wills for Veterans event in October.
