    General Counsel

    ​​Neenah Foundry Company (NFC), a subsidiary of Charlotte Pipe and Foundry, has been in business for over 150 years. Over the years, NFC has expanded its footprint by acquiring additional foundries in Florida and Nebraska and has expanded its reach with distribution centers across the country, and currently employs over 900 union and non-union workers. NFC and its subsidiaries provide municipal and industrial castings to over 8,000 customers across the globe.

    NFC is seeking a General Counsel to handle the ongoing needs of the business. The ideal candidate will have excellent business judgment and the capacity to make decisions and give advice based on the overall business objectives and the risks/rewards of each situation. The right individual will be capable of blending both administrative and business skills together with knowledge of the law in areas of importance to NFC.

    The Company is looking for the right candidate to, among other things:

    o Provide counsel on a wide variety of corporate matters, including business transactions, particularly the review and analysis of contracts and licenses for goods, services, and technology on both the buy and sell side, environmental, regulatory and safety issues; general employment issues; real estate matters; intellectual property management; litigation management; and miscellaneous matters which typically arise on a day-to-day basis in a large business enterprise.

    o Select, retain, manage, and lead competent, cost-effective outside counsel, develop strong partnership-like working relationships with outside counsel; frame their performance goals, guide their work efforts, and monitor their performance and associated budgets.

    o Provide advice and counsel for the accomplishment of overall business objectives, while fully complying with applicable laws and regulations and avoiding unacceptable risks; and providing informed cost-benefit analysis when identifying and managing risks.

    o Operate as a strong strategic partner to the senior executive team on a broad range of legal, operational, and corporate activities.

    o Attend meetings of the Board of Directors and assist in meeting preparation, which may include the development of presentation material, meeting scheduling and management, and taking of minutes.

    o Keep the Chief Executive Officer, executive management team, and Board of Directors abreast of significant decisions, legislation, and regulatory rulings that may affect the Company's business or operations.

    The right candidate will have a Law Degree and Membership in a state bar and will have a minimum of 7 years of legal experience. Preference will be given to those who have several years of experience as a business lawyer in an in-house legal department.
