Who We Are
The State Bar of Wisconsin is a professional association, created by the Wisconsin Supreme Court, for all attorneys who hold a Wisconsin law license. With more than 25,000 members, the State Bar exists to serve its members and the public by promoting the law and access to justice. We aid the courts in improving the administration of justice, provide continuing legal education and other services for our members, support the education of law students, and educate the public about the legal system. The State Bar of Wisconsin also provides public services -- such as attorney referrals and public education – and supports programs that provide reduced-fee legal assistance for low-income state residents.

What You Will Do
- Monitor legal developments, anticipate and plan for attorneys' educational needs
- Help develop engaging, thought-provoking course content
- Recruit faculty through a network of volunteer attorneys and specialists
- Build on-going relationships with members and other sources of information regarding emerging legal topics, legal practice trends, and diversity, equity and inclusion principles
- Apply adult learning principles in the design, development, and implementation of innovative and engaging continuing legal education seminars
- Evaluate, provide feedback and influence content developers so that our seminars are educational, interesting, engaging and thought-provoking.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in business, education, legal studies or related field required; law office experience or law related degree is desirable.
- Understanding of adult education principles and experience with program design. Adult learning certification is desirable.
- The ability to build trust and rapport and communicate effectively with a diverse, professional audience
- Knowledge of distance learning practices and tools
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects. Proven ability to meet deadlines and work in fast-paced environment. Must be proactive and organized.
- Candidates must be willing to travel up to 15%, some overnight stays required
- Knowledge of diversity, equity and inclusion principles and the importance of integrating these principles into continuing legal education
