Platform Statement
I am genuinely honored to have been nominated to run for State Bar Treasurer. I have a lifelong passion for community service and servant leadership that I look forward to bringing to the role of Treasurer.
My initial involvement with SBW can largely be attributed to my firm’s long-standing leadership in the State Bar. As a new lawyer to the firm, I was encouraged to get more involved and in 2014 I took my first appointment to the Leadership Development Committee, which I have now proudly chaired for the past several years. I take great satisfaction in the work this committee does to introduce young and old lawyers to the wide range of opportunities available through SBW. In 2017 I was appointed to the Lawyer Referral Service (LRS)). I have chaired the LRS Committee for the past several years as well and I am delighted with the work that this committee does to ensure that the public is paired with qualified representation from the great members of the SBW.
My involvement with SBW has taught me the crucial role SBW plays not only in our lives as attorneys but also in the lives of the public through its commitment to public service and access to justice. In what can easily be lost in the day-to-day grind of practicing law, having strong leadership within SBW to consciously promote professional satisfaction and growth is paramount to the continued success and character of our profession. Regardless of whether I’m elected Treasurer, I look forward to continuing to sing the praises of the State Bar and working to further its mission.

Biography
Steve Krueger is a managing partner at the Law Firm of Conway, Olejniczak & Jerry, S.C. in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where his practice is primarily focused on representing the needs of businesses and financial institutions in general business, contracts and real estate law. Growing up in Waupun, Wisconsin, Steve is a first-generation college graduate who earned his undergraduate and law degrees from Marquette University.
Steve takes great pride in his community involvement and leadership with countless organizations throughout the Green Bay area. He and his wife Danyel reside in De Pere and have two children, ages 16 and 13. When not practicing law, Steve enjoys hunting, spending time in the woods and watching his son and daughter on the basketball court.
