The State Bar of Wisconsin invites you and your students to participate in Mock Trial. Each year, hundreds of students in Wisconsin compete in the regional and semifinal tournaments..
2024/2025 State Mock Trial Dates
Online Registration - September 21, 2024
Case Release - October 2024
Final Entry Deadline - November 15, 2024
Team Drop Deadline - December 13, 2024
Regional Tournament - February 1, 2025
State Tournament - March 7-8, 2025
Final Round - March 9, 2025
National Championship - May 2025
Each team will consist of three attorneys and three witnesses, and may include up to six alternates (maximum of 12 students).
Mock Trial E-List
Once you have registered a mock trial team, both the teacher coach and attorney coach will be added to the mock trial list serve. You will be given a password to access the list serve. The list serve is used over the course of the “mock trial season” to post questions relating to the case materials; share information with other coaches; and /or to discuss case-related information. Information regarding mock trial deadlines and information relating to the regional and semifinal tournaments may also be posted to the list serve as well as results of the tournaments.
Scrimmages
Are you interested in doing a test run before the regional competition? Participate in a Pretrial Scrimmage with another school. Sign up online and contact other interested schools to schedule a scrimmage. All scrimmages are voluntary.
