How Can You Help?
The State Bar of Wisconsin sponsors a variety of public education programs that range from the
High School Mock Trial Tournament to educational programs for adults. These programs offer lawyers and the public unique opportunities to bring law-related education to their local schools and communities.
To volunteer for any of these programs please email Katie Wilcox at
PubEdCoordinator@wisbar.org or call (608) 250-6191.
Volunteer
Be a Mock Trial volunteer!
Each year dozens of judges and attorneys are needed to judge mock trials as part of the
Wisconsin Mock Trial Program for high school students.
Mock Trial also utilizes a number of volunteers to pick up score sheets, assist with general organizing and directing, and tabulate scores on the days of the competitions.
Volunteers are needed on February 8, 2020 and March 13 (from 5pm - 8pm) and 14, 2020, at various locations (to be announced) around the state. The competitions begin at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at approximately 5:00 p.m. It is suggested that judges volunteer for either the morning or afternoon competitions.
Competition rules and case materials will be provided ahead of time.
Mock Trial judge training is available online and will also be provided the day of the competition.
Donate
Public Education activities are funded in part by the State Bar of Wisconsin, through its charitable arm, the Wisconsin Law Foundation, with additional significant support through grants and contributions by private donors and foundations.
Each year additional funding is needed to maintain these quality programs.
