The bylaws of each division determine the timetable and process required for elections of directors and officers. Please refer to your division's bylaws on your division's webpage for the appropriate timetable for your division.
Recruiting division directors
Notices to recruit candidates for division officers and directors are included in the State Bar Newsletter in accordance with the division bylaws.
Division election process
After a slate has been developed, State Bar staff will coordinate production, mailing and tabulation of the ballots by a local accounting firm. State Bar staff will also inform the candidates of election results. Each Spring, State Bar staff will contact the appropriate division officers with information and deadline dates for the division elections.
Division Board of Directors rosters
Please send the Division liaison an updated roster for your division board as soon as is possible after your election results have been determined. Include expiration dates for terms of office and names and telephone numbers for officers. This will enable the State Bar staff to include accurate lists of division officers and directors in the annual Wisconsin Lawyer Directory.
