June 16, 2009 – The State Bar's new home page layout now is cleaner, more visually interesting, and easier to read. The new design offers expanded news content, an improved news archive, simplified navigation, and faster access to newly released products and upcoming events, among other changes that improve accessibility.

June 17, 2009 – In the midst of economic downturn and national focus on alleged lending abuses by banks, credit card issuers have been raising interest rates and fees for many borrows. This article examines the legal framework of credit card interest rates and fees, developments in federal legislation, and impediments to effective state regulation.

June 17, 2009 – Prosecutors theorize that crime occurs when a motivated offender finds a vulnerable victim in a suitable place. Using the strategy of “community prosecutions,” government lawyers are building partnerships with the community and other agencies to reduce the number of places attractive to criminals.
