Several attorneys have joined Godfrey & Kahn S.C. Rebecca K. Hamrin, U.W. 2008 cum laude, returns to the firm as special counsel in the real estate practice group in the Appleton office. Previously, she spent three years at the University of Oklahoma College of Law, working with the Master Legal Studies and Pro Bono and Public Interest programs. Matthew J. Stoiber, U.W. 2018 cum laude, is an associate in the litigation practice group in the Green Bay office.
In the Madison office: Peggy Barlett, U.W. 2009, returns to the firm as special counsel in the health care and corporate practice groups. Previously, she was director and corporate counsel at Spectrum Brands for four years. Justin W. Henry, Marquette 2017, has joined Consigny Law Firm S.C., Janesville, as an associate and focuses on criminal defense, family law, and general litigation.
Jad M. Itani, Marquette 2019, has joined the West Bend office of Hetzel Law Office LLC as an associate, practicing primarily in litigation with an emphasis on family law.
Molly J. Jasmer, Marquette 1997, has joined Grady, Hayes & Neary LLC, Waukesha, and focuses in termination of parental rights and adoption, guardianship, foster care, grandparent visitation, and assisted reproduction technology matters. She previously was in private practice and was the juvenile court prosecutor for Waukesha County.
Andrew Jones, U.W. 1994, has joined Hansen Reynolds LLC as a partner in the Milwaukee office and represents companies, governmental entities, and individuals in constitutional, commercial, compliance, employment, and land use litigation matters, including class actions. He previously was a judge on the Milwaukee County Circuit Court.
Laura Lamansky, U.W. 2018 cum laude, has joined Michael Best & Friedrich LLP as an associate in the Milwaukee office. She focuses on intellectual property and entertainment law matters, including trademark and copyright prosecution, enforcement, and contract negotiations; union compliance issues; the development and implementation of compliant promotions and contests; and the negotiation of distribution rights, talent, and publicity agreements.
James M. Sosnoski, Liberty 2015 magna cum laude, has joined Meissner Tierney Fisher & Nichols S.C., Milwaukee, with the litigation practice group, primarily focusing in complex commercial and insurance coverage litigation.

Tom Kamenick, Marquette 2009, has launched the Wisconsin Transparency Project, 1144 Noridge Trail, Port Washington, dedicated to enforcing public records and open meetings laws and to providing no- and low-cost legal representation to people and organizations facing issues with governmental transparency. Kamenick previously was deputy counsel and litigation manager at the Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty.

Max Neuhaus, Mitchell Hamline 2008, has been elected to a three-year term as president of the River Falls Economic Development Corporation. He practices with Rodli Beskar Neuhaus Murray & Pletcher SC, River Falls.
Dan Nielsen, U.W. 1982, has been named president-elect of the National Academy of Arbitrators, a professional organization for labor and employment arbitrators in the United States and Canada. He has been an academy member since 1991. He operates Daniel Nielsen, Arbitrator, in Lake Bluff, Ill.
Barbara Zabawa, U.W. 2001, has joined the Rogers Behavioral Health board and is on the Advocacy & Community Outreach Committee and the Compensation Committee. She operates the Center for Health and Wellness Law LLC, Madison, is a clinical assistant professor for the U.W.-Milwaukee Department of Health Services Administration, and is a frequent writer and speaker on health and wellness law topics.

Alexander M. Lodge, Iowa 2016, is a recipient of a 2019 President’s Award from the Urban League of Greater Madison. Lodge practices with Foley & Lardner LLP, Madison, and is the Building Bridges liaison of the State Bar of Wisconsin Board of Governors, representing the Wisconsin Association of African-American Lawyers.
The Milwaukee Bar Association presented Pro Bono Publico awards at its 16th Annual State of the Court Luncheon in October. LOTUS Legal Clinic was honored for empowering survivors of sexual violence by providing direct, comprehensive legal services, advocacy, and community education. Tanya O’Neill, Drake 1998, Foley & Lardner LLP, Milwaukee, was honored for being an advocate for Milwaukee residents and fighting those who sought to benefit from fraud. Law student Shelby Hahn, Marquette, was honored for consistent commitment to individuals served by the Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinic and its Student Advisory Board.
Kristen Nelson, DePaul 2012, has been elected as a Wisconsin Law Foundation Fellow. Wisconsin Law Foundation Fellows, who are selected annually, are recognized for outstanding attainment in professional, public, or private careers for devotion to the welfare of their community, state, and nation and the advancement of the legal profession.
