    David S. Kemp

    David Kemp is the managing editor of Oyez [oyez.org], a U.S. Supreme Court multimedia and information resource, and Justia's Verdict [verdict.justia.com], a legal analysis and commentary website.

    Mr. Kemp is also an adjunct professor at Rutgers Law School and former legal writing professor at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. He currently teaches upper-level courses on lawyering skills and professional responsibility and is piloting novel ways of bringing generative AI into classrooms. He has published or led discussions on the use of AI-driven tools to improve legal and medical education, to address systemic inequity in law and in medicine, and to extend the reach and quality of legal education via asynchronous remote courses.

    Mr. Kemp received his BA in psychology from Rice University and his JD from Berkeley Law, where he served as the senior executive editor of the California Law Review and co-editor-in-chief of the Berkeley Journal of African-American Law & Policy. Mr. Kemp and his husband, a physician, live in Maplewood, New Jersey, with their two German Shepherd dogs.
